John Roslyn in 1978 editor DDTC magazine wrote:

Readers of the 1975 Centenary edition may remember Mr. Alfred Rhodes letter on his working Dandie, now we bring you a photograph of owner and dog. Cindy has this year killed two foxes, and rescued an adult badger trapped in a drain, the animal was set free in nearby woodland. She also finds time to have puppies, having a litter of puppies at the present. Cindy is a pepper and is Drevaburn Peewit, bred by Misses Soutter and Greenlees.
